Here is an improved version of the British starter deck that you can build by adding some of the ally cards already collected during the USA training campaign and replacing France as an ally nation with the USA. At the same time as removing some of the cards that are weaker or don’t fit your deck strategy. In addition to this, further below are some tips on how to play the deck and improve it even further down the line.

Cards to add to the improved British starter deck:

Strategy

Battle plan

This deck has multiple strategies that can lead you to victory. As you might realize there are a lot of units with an high amount of HP but low attack in your deck, like WELSH GUARDS, 5th BRIGADE, COLDSTREAM GUARDS or CHURCHILL Mk IV. Cards like NAVAL SUPPORT or THE ALLIANCE can help you to make some really big units out of this inconspicuous looking units and overwhelm your opponent with them. NAVAL SUPPORT being even stronger when played on a unit that has been buffed with CUP OF TEA, 26 ENGINEER REGIMENT or WE CAN DO IT! beforehand.

17th INFANTRY REGIMENT and UNITY IS STRENGTH also help you to transform your units into stronger versions of themself.

Another option to defeat your opponent is to use the GUARD ability of your units to protect your big fighters (SPITFIRE Mk Ia and CORSAIR F4U-1C) in the support line. A SPITFIRE Mk Ia only needs 4 turns to kill the enemy HQ single-handed. If you can manage to establish a well protected fighter fleet your opponent might be in trouble.

Mulligan (Starting hand selection)

Best cards to have in your starting hand are SWORDFISH Mk I, 5th BRIGADE and WELSH GUARDS. If you found any of these you should look for 17th INFANTRY REGIMENT and NAVAL SUPPORT

LANCASHIRE FUSILIERS can be a good keep if you found some early game units because it provides a lot of stats for its cost and can be a strong play when played on turn 4.

HOW TO IMPROVE THE DECK FURTHER

To improve this deck even further by using the early wildcards you get and cards from packs you should start by collecting full sets of SWORDFISH Mk I, COLDSTREAM GUARDS and THE ALLIANCE.

New cards to add could be EAST SURREY REGIMENT and RULE BRITANNIA, both can be earned by playing the british Theaters of war campaign.

Other cards that fit really well into this deck are 2 POUNDER, 1st LONDON BRIGADE, CRUISER Mk III, SEAFORTH HIGHLANDERS, BLACK WATCH and 10th ENGINEERS BATTALION.

On the elite card side there are many options that are playable in this deck, but also in every other Britain deck. Cards like MONTY, SHELLING, SEXTON and CHURCHILL Mk III AVRE are a must craft for players that prefer the British way of playing KARDS and fit perfectly into this deck.

Cards you want to get rid of over time while you replace them with the alternatives mentioned above: CORSAIR F4U-1C, SPITFIRE Mk Ia, 17th INFANTRY REGIMENT, LANCASHIRE FUSILIERS, DEATH FROM ABOVE, CUP OF TEA, CHURCHILL Mk IV, WELSH GUARDS

Try it out this good starting point and then put your own spin on it. Most importantly, have fun!
