Draft

Draft is a thrilling game mode in KARDS where you put together (draft) a deck based on a selection of cards provided.

You begin by selecting a main nation and choosing your first cards. Each round, you are presented with three bundles of cards - you must pick one to add to your deck.

After a few rounds, you’ll choose an ally nation, expanding your pool to include cards from both nations. From there, you’ll continue making choices until your deck reaches 40 cards (39 plus your HQ).

As you draft, keep an eye on:

  • Synergies between offered cards

  • Kredit curve and unit balance

  • The mix of units, orders, and countermeasures

  • Your potential win conditions

Once your deck is complete, it’s time to battle other draft players.

  • You can play up to 9 matches with a draft deck.

  • A run ends after 3 losses or when you complete all 9 games.

  • The more victories you earn, the better the rewards: gold, card packs, and bonus prizes.

The draft card pool is different from ranked and other non-Classic modes.

  • Some cards, that are allowed elsewhere, are banned in draft.

  • Other cards, currently in the reserve pool, are allowed in draft.

Below you’ll find the current list of card changes compared to the standard pool - cards that are removed from draft and cards that are added to draft. This list is updated regularly.
