Getting started

Here are the top 5 tips to learn the basics of the game fast, get better decks and start building your collection efficiently. 

  1. Complete all the starter campaigns.

  2. Improve your starter decks. Check out our guide with examples for each nation!

  3. Collect the first week login rewards.

  4. Do the missions and collect gold for the first win of the day.

  5. Collect the free pre-built decks in national progression and early wildcards and packs.

Improve your starter decks

While KARDS comes with some good starter decks right out of the box for free after completing a couple of starter campaigns. By combining just the cards from the free starter campaigns, you already get more powerful decks!

This will boost your progress and kickstarts your success on the battlefield of KARDS! 

Especially as a new player, you might like to get some tips and tricks how to improve your starter decks. To that purpose, we have compiled improvement suggestions for the starter decks of each nation.

Card Abilities

AmbushWhen attacked for the first time each turn, this unit deals its damage first and receives no damage if it destroys the enemy unit
FuryUnits with Fury can attack twice each turn.
GuardAdjacent non-guard units cannot be attacked except by bombers and artillery.
SmokescreenUnit cannot be attacked by enemy units. A unit loses Smokescreen if it moves or attacks. Guard units and units in the frontline cannot have Smokescreen.
Heavy armorUnit receives {0} less damage when attacked by other units. Unit can have Heavy Armor 3 max.
PincerWhen this unit is deployed from hand, choose another friendly unit. While both are on the battlefield, both get the Pincer benefit.
MobilizeUnit gets +1+1 at the start of its turn. Unit loses Mobilize when it takes damage.

Vocabulary

Nerf? Buff? What are they talking about? Here is a list of some of the most used Kards terms and expressions.

Buff
Strengthen
Nerf
Weaken
Removal
Cards and effects that destroy or otherwise neutralize enemy units.
OTK
One turn kill
Dead card
A card in hand that is irrelevant or unplayable.
Ladder
Ranked play. Climbing the ladder refers to players playing ranked games, accruing more points, and working their way up the ranks.
